Tai Sin has a range of Low Voltage Power Cables from PVC insulated, XLPE insulated, non-armoured, armoured, to fire-rated cables, all the cables are manufactured to British, IEC as well as customised standards under strict quality control procedures.
Armoured cables typically use steel wires for multicore cables and aluminium wires for single core cables.
PVC or XLPE Insulated Power Cables are manufactured with plain annealed stranded copper. Multicores are laid together and protected with an inner sheath of PVC armoured with steel round wires and single core cables are armoured with aluminium wires and finally protected with an outer layer of PVC or XLPE sheath.
Tai Sin’s range of Fire Resistant (FR) Cables are manufactured with plain annealed solid or stranded copper conductors, which are protected with a fire barrier tape, insulated with either a LSZH thermosetting compound or XLPE. Multicores are laid together and protected with an inner sheath of LSZH material, armoured with steel round wires and finally protected by an outer layer of LSZH material. The LSZH sheathing used for all the cables are UV resistant and anti-termite.
Fire Resistant cables are typically used where the continual functionality and integrity of essential circuits are important, especially during critical evacuation and fire emergencies. Under normal working conditions, Tai Sin’s range of Screened Fire Resistant cables perform conventionally like any other cables with a screen to keep off interferences.
During fire emergencies, it makes sure that vital equipment like alarms, exit lighting, elevators, pumps, public address systems, and fans keep functioning appropriately.
